Account Director (UK based)
As Alida’s Account Director, you will be a strategic partner to our largest and most promising multinational clients. Your mission is to expand Alida’s footprint within global accounts in the EMEA region, ensuring a unified customer experience across regions while driving value and growth. Ensuring alignment between Alida NA sales teams and the client’s global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Expansion & Growth:
- Collaborate closely with North American Account Executives (AEs) to expand existing U.S.-based global accounts into EMEA and other regions.
- Identify and open net new global opportunities headquartered in EMEA that have significant operations in North America.
- Strategic Customer Partnership:
- Build and nurture strong executive-level relationships within key global accounts.
- Identify and build trusted advisor relationships with decision- makers.
- Understand the customer’s global objectives and challenges, and align Alida’s solutions accordingly.
- A strong leadership presence and be able to command a meeting, be seen as an authority in communicating via email, phone, and face to face. Must be comfortable writing executive briefing documents for, and communicating with, the most senior executives.
- Participate and lead in the negotiation and closing of deals.
- Provide leadership around Value management and Value realization.
- Maintain an operating knowledge of Alida’s product & service catalog and can relate them to solving customers’ business problems.
- Internal Collaboration & Coordination:
- Act as the central coordinator across geographies, ensuring a cohesive account strategy and unified engagement model.
- Work closely with internal Alida teams as well as external partners to support the best solution for customers.
- Serve as a cross-functional leader, working with sales, success, marketing, product, and executive teams to deliver against customer needs.
- Provide dotted-line leadership to internal teams on customer retention and NDR performance for assigned accounts.
- Help define product requirements by understanding and evangelizing the needs of customers to Product & Services Teams.
- Account Planning & Execution:
- Develop and maintain global strategic account plans, driving strategic initiatives to increase adoption and value realization across EMEA with tight coordination in NA.
- Manage the sales pipeline, maintaining sales hygiene via Salesforce and facilitating all stages of a sale.
- Track and report on account performance and expansion opportunities, leveraging CRM and internal tools.
- Orchestrate and lead the execution of the account strategy, with a primary focus on revenue growth, expanding the partnership through growing the existing base: driving adoption of new SKU’s & premier services and creating net new installs globally.
Experience:
- Self starter with 10+ years of experience managing global, complex enterprise accounts—preferably in SaaS, market research, insights, or user experience industries.
- Proven ability to collaborate across regional teams and drive coordinated account strategies.
- Demonstrated success in growing strategic accounts and landing net-new enterprise logos.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders.
- Experience working in or with both North American and EMEA markets.
- Proven experience working with global accounts.
- Successful history of net direct new business sales, with the ability to prove consistent delivery against revenue targets in the SaaS/technology sector.
- Experience managing the sales cycle from prospect to close.
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles and demonstrated ownership of all aspects of account management.
- Previous Sales Methodology training (MEDDICC), Sales Navigator & CRM experience, Salesforce
- Direct experience selling community, social, CRM or Market Research platforms is desirable.
- BA or Masters Degree
- We are ideally looking for someone based in London or the surrounds, but open to elsewhere in the UK.
- The typical OTE range for this position is £220,000-240,000 per year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
